Our colleague recently traveled to China on behalf of OMES, where he participated in a professional conference and business event. The purpose of the trip was to build international relationships, explore new business opportunities, and make personal contact with potential partners.
Below you can read his personal account of the trip, the conference experiences, the meetings, and the opportunities he sees for OMES in the future.
„I recently arrived back from China to Hungary, and only now did I have the opportunity to stop for a moment and review the materials, photographs, and new contacts I have collected over the past few days.
The scale and quality of the conference far exceeded my expectations. Government and diplomatic representatives, academics and university leaders, research institutions, industry associations, and business leaders from China and Central and Eastern European countries gathered in Ningbo and Nanjing to exchange experiences and explore opportunities for cooperation in the areas of innovation, industrial development, technology transfer and market exploitation, and investment in Central and Eastern Europe.
During the conference, I had the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with government and diplomatic representatives from Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Poland and other countries, as well as representatives from China's Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zhejiang Province and Ningbo. I also met with representatives from academies, universities, research institutes, industry associations and companies.
This time, it was a particular honor for me to participate in the event as a representative of a company operating in Hungary, and I was also invited to give a presentation on such a high-level international platform with the following title: „"Hungary's Investment Environment and Practical Insights for Project Implementation"”
It was my first time standing on stage at such a large-scale event, so I must honestly admit that I was a little nervous at first.
What really touched me, however, was the reception after the presentation. Many guests from different countries, representatives of government institutions, research organizations, universities, professional associations and companies, approached me personally to exchange ideas and stay in touch in the future. I am also very grateful to have received positive feedback and recognition from many distinguished leaders and guests.
For me, this recognition is not just a personal achievement. At the same time, OMES recognition, which as a company operating in Hungary has many years of experience in supporting international industrial projects.
In recent years, we have been actively involved in industrial investments, engineering projects and business cooperation between China, Hungary and the wider CEE region. It was a very valuable and honorable opportunity for me to represent a Hungarian company on such a significant international platform and share our practical experience gained during project implementation.
It is a particular honor for me that following the conference, China–CEEC Innovation Cooperation Research Center invited me to participate in their research and collaboration activities.
My heartfelt thanks to all the leaders, guests, friends and partners who took the time to talk to me, encourage me and express their interest in future collaboration.
The trip to Ningbo may have ended, but it is only the beginning of many conversations and connections that have been made.
I would like to continue to use Hungary as a bridge between China and Europe and contribute to further cooperation between China and Central and Eastern Europe in the fields of industry, investment, engineering services, technology and innovation.
A new role, a new responsibility and a new beginning. 🇭🇺🇨🇳🇪🇺”
