We are pleased to announce that the OMES Engineering Ltd. team has begun work on the development of EVE Power's battery factory in Debrecen. The project aims to provide reliable and sustainable solutions for EVE Power, one of the world's leading battery manufacturers, to supply BMW's Debrecen factory with new generation cylindrical battery cells.
The investment will be implemented in the Debrecen Northwest Economic Zone, on a 45-hectare area. The total value of the project exceeds 1 billion euros.
Our tasks include coordinating with disaster management, utility service, metrology and construction authorities, as well as the full implementation of the commissioning permit processes. With our experience and professional background, we ensure that the project is implemented on schedule and in accordance with applicable laws.
The technology used in the factory aims to increase the energy density of battery cells by 20%, thereby increasing the range of electric vehicles by 30% and reducing charging time by 30%. To ensure sustainability, EVE Power uses greywater for the majority of its production water requirements and is building an advanced wastewater recycling system.
